The factory exhaust manifolds on the 3.0T Supercharged V6 are cast iron "log" style units, built to a cost target, not a flow target. They restrict exhaust scavenging right where it matters most, choking off the throttle response and power your engine is actually capable of. If you've ever wondered why your supercharged V6 doesn't pull the way the spec sheet suggests, the stock manifolds are a big part of the answer.

The Vorsprung Autowerk Shorty Headers replace those restrictive cast log manifolds with tubular, mandrel-formed stainless steel construction engineered specifically for the 3.0T V6. Built at 2.0mm wall thickness and TIG welded with back purging throughout, these headers are made to handle real heat and real boost without cracking at the welds the way thinner, cheaper units do.
