What does an under supercharger kit include?
Every Vorsprung Ultimate kit includes the complete billet aluminum thermostat housing and thermostat, a metal heater pipe (Gen 1 kits), a Graf metal water pump, the correct OE PCV valve for your engine (Hengst 06E103547AC, AH or AF, or Rein 06E103547AK), Elring upper and lower intake manifold gaskets, the PCV-to-supercharger adapter pipe, and an Elring injector seal kit. Exact part numbers are listed on each product page.

Does the kit include just the billet thermostat housing, or the thermostat too?
Both. Every kit includes the complete billet aluminum thermostat housing and the thermostat as one assembly, so there is no separate thermostat to buy.

Why replace all of these parts at once instead of just the one that failed?
Because reaching any one of them requires pulling the supercharger off the engine. Once it's off, replacing the rest of the plastic-prone components while you're in there costs a fraction of what a second removal would cost in labor down the road.

How do I know if my car is Gen 1 or Gen 2 (CREC)?
Gen 1 (EA837) covers the C6 A6 (2009-2011), B8 S4 and S5 Cabriolet (2010-2012), B8.5 S4 (2013-2016), S5 (2013-2017), Q5 3.0T (2013-2017) and SQ5 (2014-2017), C7 A6 and A7 (2012-2015), the 4L Q7 (2011-2015), the A8 (2013-2014) and the VW Touareg (2011-2016). The Q5 and SQ5 are chassis code 8R, which many owners call the B8.5. Gen 2 CREC covers the C7.5 A6 and A7 (2016-2018), the A8 (2015-2018) and the 4M Q7 (2017-2019). Which kit do I need for a 2012 A6 or A7?
It depends on the build date. 2012 cars built before May 2012 use PCV valve 06E103547AC and take the early 2012 C7 kit. 2012 cars built in May 2012 or later use 06E103547AK and take the C7 A6, A7 and 4L Q7 kit. The build month is on the sticker in the driver's door jamb, or email us your VIN.

Are these OEM parts or aftermarket?
Both. Each kit mixes genuine OEM hardware with trusted OE-supplier brands (Graf, Hengst, Elring, URO) and Vorsprung-engineered billet aluminum upgrades in place of the factory plastic pieces that tend to crack.

Can I install this myself?
It's a supercharger-off job, so it's a moderate to advanced DIY project best suited to someone comfortable with intake and cooling system work. If you're not confident pulling the supercharger, a qualified independent Audi shop can install the kit in one visit.
