B8 vs B8.5 S4 and S5 Fitment
The B8 S4 and S5 were built from 2010 to 2012 and the facelifted B8.5 from 2013 to 2016 (S5 through 2017). Both use the 3.0T supercharged V6, but some parts differ between the two, including certain PCV, cooling and headlight parts. Each listing has its own fitment table, so check the years before you order. If you are unsure, email help@vorsprungautowerk.com with your VIN and we will confirm.
Audi S4 and S5 3.0T Performance Parts FAQ
What should I upgrade first on a supercharged B8/B8.5 S4 or S5?
Most owners start with a tune and better exhaust flow, then address the known weak points under the supercharger, then add intake and throttle body upgrades. If your car is high mileage, an under supercharger kit is often the smartest first spend because it prevents a coolant or vacuum failure.
Do these parts fit both the S4 and S5?
In most cases yes, since the B8 and B8.5 S4 and S5 share the same 3.0T engine. The fitment table on each listing lists the exact models and years.
Do I need a tune after installing exhaust upgrades?
A tune is strongly recommended for test pipes and headers. High flow cats and most other parts do not strictly require one but work best with one.
Are test pipes street legal?
No. Test pipes remove the catalytic converters and are sold for off-road and competition use only.
